Create a Tribute

Sarcoma Tributes tell your story or the story of your loved one, and they do so with a purpose. When you publish a tribute, you can then share a link to it with your friends and family. They will learn more about the person you are honoring, the experience of sarcoma, and how they can easily make a tribute donation to sarcoma research.

Tributes are personal and will focus on your words and photographs. Your tribute will be visible to everyone who visits this website, and you can choose whether or not it can be found using online search engines. If you'd like to to create a tribute, please use the form below.

Why Publish Tributes?

Nearly $2 million has been donated to the Liddy Shriver Sarcoma Initiative by people who have been directly affected by sarcoma. We are excited to recognize the individuals and families that are involved with us. A tribute will allow your voice to be heard at SarcomaHelp.org, and it will simplify the donation process for your family and friends.

PARAGRAPH ONE: * Describe the person you are honoring. Consider writing about the person’s interests, hobbies, personality, spirit and character. You might want to describe some of the person’s past accomplishments or future dreams. You might share a brief, telling encounter from the person’s life.

A value is required.

PARAGRAPH TWO: * Write about the person’s experience with sarcoma. Instead of focusing on specific treatment details, focus on the overall experience. Consider your audience - they may not understand medical terminology but will be open to learning what it feels to deal with the disease and its treatment. It may be helpful to describe a specific interaction with a doctor, nurse or friend that shows us something about the patient's personality and approach to the disease.

A value is required.

PARAGRAPH THREE (optional): Tell us more about how the patient or family are doing now. This paragraph can be replaced in the future (up to once a month) if you would like to keep your tribute updated.

PARAGRAPH FOUR: * Share why research into this specific disease is important to the patient or your family. You might consider adding the following text into this paragraph: "At least 97% of your donations in honor of [NAME] will be used for peer-reviewed sarcoma research. We hope that this research will better the lives of countless people who face this disease, both now and in the future."
