Mimi Olson In 2002 when Mimi's granddaughter, Carly, was diagnosed with mesenchymal chondrosarcoma, it was impossible to find information anywhere, including the internet.

In 2003, Mimi formed the Yahoo Mesenchymal Chondrosarcoma Support Group and serves as its moderator. She is also a co-moderator of the Chondrosarcoma Support Group. In addition, she belongs to numerous support groups and service organizations for both pediatric and adult sarcomas. She provides sarcoma articles and clinical trial information to these groups by subscribing to online newsletters and medical professional publishing houses.
