Research Results: Ewing's Sarcoma
- 2002 ASCO phase 2 results which mention 2/8 ES success; authors are in Italy and Switzerland
- Closed COG pediatric phase 1 trial (Baruchel at Toronto was the lead)
- 2002 ASCO abstract on this study discussing dosing
- 1/1 response for Ewing's. There was prolonged partial response for a relapsed ES patient on this trial at dose 1100 mg/m2; the patient received 16 treatments (one year) and was still responding when she stopped the drug. more information
- 2002 abstract stating that ET-743 kills Ewing's sarcoma cells. Both drug-sensitive and drug-resistant bone tumor cells were used (note: this is cell line research)
Research Results: Non-Ewing's Sarcoma
- On the Phase 1 ET-743+Doxil trial at Fox Chase, 2/2 sarcomas have become stable; results not published yet
- 2002 ASCO phase 2 results, giving 24% partial success rate for soft tissue sarcomas failing prior chemo; authors are from Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and Dana Farber Cancer Institute
